My investigator said something about a class of 800 in September...did anyone else hear this?

Gee, that'd be nice. Maybe my class could actually avoid doing a fourth Impact come January. However, I'm going to chalk this rumor up as no more reliable than the rumor I heard about the January 2010 class being 3500 strong.

They did plan on hiring up to 7011 so it sounds somewhat possible.

Its not a joke. They can get mini medicals done pretty fast. Something like this is probley going to be very last minute. If people start to get called for mini medicals then you know something is in the works. Mini medicals are only good for 3 months.

I thought mini-meds where good for 6 months...if that's the case they will have plenty of people ready to go...I had my mini med in June along with 80 other people knowing that most to all of us were not getting in...the sgt there said they were still processing in hopes if an august sept or October class...again that's if I am correct with mini meds being good for 6 months..

Its simple, don't believe anything. Unless its word from the Commissioner or Mayor don't believe anything until it is actually happening. That way, you don't give yourself an ulcer from stress.

Assuming they can get Mini-Meds cleared. Informing people they have to drop their current job out of the blue wouldn't make much sense. Not to mention I am sure everyone isn't waiting around at home hoping for a September class. And it would be a huge burden for people who are registered for classes in the Fall, like myself.

They do make you drop your job out of the blue you get 1-4 day notice to go to the acedemy and your not suppose to quit untill the day your at the class during the break they give you.

around every april and every sept/oct there is always talk of an inbetween class. my opinion is if they have money for 800 more cops by sept, I would just think that they would reinstate the january 2010 class and make it a normal size of 1000-1100 candidates. it just makes more sence all across the board and is probably the way its gonna happen..

no she was white, i never drove it in the city though, i left it at my house in nj.
