I was curious to know how you guys deal with people you don't want knowing what you do for a living, finding out you are a LEO? The apartment complex I recently moved into has some shady people living in it that I don't really want knowing I'm a LEO. Unfortunately, the rent manager knows, and the word has spread. Now some people know, and they see my truck/motorcycle parked for 12 hours a day in the lot. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

Move. It's simple. It's tough, but something you have to do if you don't want to deal with it. May I suggest looking for another copper who wants a roommate in a house? No apartments that way.

If you are that concerned, I would move. I live in an apartment complex as well and I dont like people knowing what I do for a living, so I just change at work.

GET OUT AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I moved into a shady area also about 8 or so months ago, and with the take home car sitting it the parking lot, THEY KNOW when when Im there or not.

Needless to say I moved out 2 or 3 weeks ago to a completely different area and still have 2.5 months left on the old lease. I am paying two rents right now but its well worth it.

The last month there, 3 people were robbed at gunpoint and 1 stabbing.

I had people always knocking on my door for something, one guy knocked on my door at midnights and asked if i would drive him to the liquor store. Another lady beating on my door cause her quote babys daddy beat her up.

Forget them all, I got out ASAP.

P.S. I love my new place, no more BS

Thanks for the info. My rent is paid up until august 12, so I'll probably be looking at a nicer area to live. There are a few guys at work that need a room mate so I'll look into that. Luckily I haven't had anyone knocking on my door yet...but we'll see.
