I'm posting this in the NY thread because I'm interested in the Master's of Public Administration - Inspector General Track at John Jay College (online). I'm currently a GS-13 Special Agent for an IG federal agency and this appears to be the only program of its kind that I've found. I've heard good things in the past about JJ and I've noticed a decent amount of chatter about the school. I'm just curious as to what JJ's reputation at the graduate level is?
Has anyone else out there been through this program? Just curious what the school's reputation is amongst those in NY and around the country. Thanks.

I never experienced the graduate level, but I also have heard good things about it. Myself, I graduated from that school with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. From what I've heard, they had their graduate level courses in a building in Downtown Manhattan on Third Avenue or something, and not in Midtown.
The school in general is good. Like all colleges, you have a lot of people wasting space with the old Associates degrees. When I was leaving, they were planning on eliminating them. And as you go up in years at the college, people get more professional and business like.
If you want, go here and pick up the usernames of the guys that have gone there. And just P.M. them.

JJCOCJ Rocks,, I highly recommend it.... the fact that they offer it on line is a big bennie... Almost all of the Professors are retired NYPD, usually Sgt. or above, some Fed, many attornys, etc,, great group to learn from .

Thanks for the responses. This program is literally the only one in the country and pretty specialized. I think they'll have some interest from feds working in the IG community nationwide, in that they offer the entire program online and charge in-state tuition regardless of where you reside.
