Buff mic?

does anyone know the actual model of the radios we use... i looked at mine and all it said was vertex standard but after looking on ebay and other places they all have legit model numbers

I've seen both VX-520 and VX-530 thrown around. Do a Google Images search for both of them and see which one most closely resembles the radios.

Because most of the patrol officers don't use em...it's usually the "buffs" that choose to get them....hence the name "Buff Mic"

Ah.....

For the most part, I've always used one since they came out....not sure how one could go without....especially in you'alls case with all that noise in the city....

I also used a earpiece as well....nothing like being in a crowd or roadside and not hearing someone has a 10-99 (warrant)...

Hey...I'm a buff...what can I say! {lol} I only had that on because I was in Manhattan. It came off the next day.
