Greetings!

I need to pick up a holster for plain clothes use. Any suggestions?? My duty weapon is a Glock 22 (40 cal.). Just looking through some
magazines I am interested in the G&G 3-slot holster. Anybody use this, or have any knowledge on them? Any other good suggestions?

Thanks!

Don't have any experience with that one, but G&G makes good stuff.

I have custom leather for my carry weapons - Waldon Viper. For my P220, I also have a Don Hume H726 - Thumbreak/open front, so it clears leather from under a coat pretty quickly.

Good idea maybe to go through Galls, or a similar catalog, see what you like, then try the websites, because companies often have specials.

All of my off-duty leather gear is Galco. The Summer Classic, The Fletch, and several others. Check out their site. It's quality stuff.

After some minor probs, I'm using Uncle Mike's new KYDEX with my G22 and G27.

The best quality holsters that I have seen come from:
www.miltsparks.com (http://www.miltsparks.com)

I carry my Sig 239 in a Sparks IWB holster and it is wonderful. These are more money than other brands (in the $75-100 range), but they're well worth it. The only problem here might be if your department requires you to use a holster with a thumb break.

From what I understand G&G makes good stuff.

That said, I have never used their products before. Right now I use a Don Hume HM715 IWB and a Galco FLETCH for my issued Beretta M92FS. Both are great holsters and hide my gun well. I can actually get away with just a T shirt over the gun with the IWB holster sometimes.

I have also used Blade Tech, the Don Hume HM715, and M/D Enterprises holsters with my Glocks. Check them out because they work well too.

I recently got a FOBUS to carry my Sig 220 in. Its a paddle type and the gun "locks"in the holster. For a paddle type its very secure , there is no way you can pull it out of your britches when drawing the gun. It holds the gun securely and it's difficult to remove by anyone else. It is made out of Kydex and only costs about 20 bucks. They also make mag holders and cuff holders too.
They are very convienent to use.

I've several, but agree with Shooter that the UM Kydex is a great deal at ~$14 at the local cop shop.

I can second Galco and Don Hume from experience. I'm currently using a Galco COP 3-slot thumbbreak OWB abd a Hume M715H IWB. I also used to have a Hume 726 and it was excellent.

Galco for leather. Period.

Bladetech, Side Armor, and Uncle Mikes for kydex.

Safariland for nylon/nylok/non-leather.

I purchased an Orca IWB holster a couple of years ago. I only ordered the thing because it cost $17.95 and I had $18.43 left in my unform allowance to spend before the end of the fiscal year.

The holster's great. It has a plastic shell inside the nylon so it retain its shape. I own considerably more expensive holsters, but I always seem to wear the Orca.

check out esecurityschool.net they have FOBUS HOLSTERS which is the best off duty carrying holster made. My husband is an officer and he swears by it. He has been using it for at least 5 years and it's like new - it's made out of tough ballistic material. You'll be amazed at its durability and comfort.http://www.esecurityschool.net/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=ss&Product_Code=GL2&Category_Code=FPH

That is a direct link to the exact model you need for your weapon.

Hey - I'm glad I could help if you don't have to far to travel - I know they carry a mag clip holder for that model too - don't know if they have any in stock so call first before you make the trip. That is an excellent choice for your off duty carry and even for CID Officer's.

Anyway if you work the road - stay safe.

Fobus holsters have been making a strong showing in my area especially with Glock pistols. I plan on getting one whenever my Glock comes in. I now carry a Colt 1911 in a Kramer IWB and love it.
