Off and on I have been known to carry a kubaton. They are not issued by my department but some officers do carry them.
I'm curious. For those of you who are issued them or carry them, how effective do you find them to be?

Just don't put it on your key ring before going to the airport. Those old geezers tend to get a little jumpy about those things.

What and how exactly do you use those things? I just saw one in a magazine and wondered how it was applied to police situations. http://www.officer.com/ubb/confused.gif
