Has anyone gone through, or is currently in the Background stages with the CHP? If so can you give any information about how it went or is going?

Be paitient, you probably won't hear from you BI for accuple more months, as they are very busy right now. Best advice I can give you is be 100% honest about everything. I know it seems like a no brainer but thats the best advice I have. Good luck!

A new class started at the beginning of June. The next class is about 7 or 8 weeks away.

Have a lot of patience because backgrounds can take from six to 12 months - depending on what may come up. There is at least one more class this year and possibly two.

The investigations are not done in a malicious or incomplete manner so you have to be relaxed and keep your fingers crossed.

It took them six months to even call me. That was in 05 I think. I had a 95 QAP.

It takes forever. Turned in my background packet in feburary. Just had a pre investigative meeting last Tuesday and was told she wouldn't get to my packet until sept at the earliest.

Sounds like not much has changed since I had my background done in 1996. I got a 95 on my QAP, then didn't hear anything for 6 months. Hang in there guys.

I also scored a 95 on QAP..I was told this week that I would have a background investigator call me next week....im finishing up my bachelors so I have something to keep me busy

I had my first BI interview 2 months after my QAP I got a 90

i tested out of southern division
