Erie County Sheriff-Please Help!!

What is the age limit for the E.C. Sheriff's dept? I took my written test awhile ago and was told today that I am up to take my PT in the Fall (09).

Being ex-Military I am very excited about this opportunity. However, I am concerned that my age "may" be a problem.

Can anyone give me a definite answer to this?

Most Police agencies in NYS have an age max of 35. With military service, you can deduct up to 6 yrs to meet the 35yr mark. Hope that helps.

Thank you. I am 33 years of age right now and won't turn 34 until the winter. The PT test is in the Fall. Do you think I should be ok?

you just cant turn 35 before you take the test, and you already took the test and you're not 35 sooo...
