Planning on putting myself though Rio Hondo's extended police academy starting in January and I was wondering if anyone knows if any agencies would not accept my academy cert because it was an extended academy? I am attending the extended because I can't stop working while going. Thanks.

James look at my post on Self Sponsored Recruits. In the CA section.
I am also attending the extended academy but at Fullerton College.

Yes, there are some agencies that will have reservations about hiring you because you attended an extended format academy. Unfortunately, hiring is on a case-by-case basis, only certain agencies mandate that they want you to attend their own academy (LASD and LAPD, OCSD was this way).
Give it a shot as it doesn't hurt to try.

OP...I graduated from Rio's Extended and the only agencies that I know don't accept the certificate in LA County are LAPD and LASD. To name a few agencies that do hire extended: Inglewood, Long Beach, Monterey Park, Montebello and MUSD, La Verne, Vernon, Pasadena, San Gabriel, Compton Unified School District, El Central, San Fernando PD, Santa Paula, and the list goes on.
