It looks to me like he has the attitude that if you can afford to have your family and property well protected by private security forces (or the CHP) being victimized by addicts and other criminals isn't important. It's nice to see how little this governor cares about "Joe Schmo's" grand theft loss (just a misdemeanor ?), yet when Arnold was being followed by photographers, he demanded felony charges of stalking!

One level of protection for the rich, but for the rest of us- the masses can fend for themselves.

Notice he's also making it easier to conceal the identities of illegal aliens. Got to have that cheap labor for housekeeping, child care and landscaping available! ;)

puli, you mean UNTRACEABLE illegal alien labor (can't have that come up during campaign season, ya know)

Remember this is only an e-mail i received. In fairness I am looking for confirmation. If this is true, then I will need frank to relax the no obscenity rule so i can properly express my feelings.

I love how 666 is on the list. I had a DA try that crap on me just yesterday. "Let me get this straight, the section which says misd theft w/ prior is a felony, is now itself a misdemeanor?" How does that happen?

As one of the masses, I'll deal with it (begrudgingly, but quietly) if the state recognizes the 2nd Amendment again.

Great, they don't think about the caseload and tons of misdemeanor warrants (already at a ridiculous amount in my county alone--my academy shared the astronomical number).

Advertisement to criminals: California is now open-game. Come here, commit a crime, and get a slap on the wrist.

Notice how none of the crimes listed had anything to do with firearms.

Like someone else hinted at. If the state wants to make it open season for criminals. I want an assault rifle to keep those same criminals away from me.

A lot of special interest groups will be pretty ****ed if he does this. Most notably the AAA. Chop shop a misdemeanor?

I think he can propose anything he wants, but that something that has to be changed at the legislative level.

Well, they could stream line the system a bit further...

Here in WA there are situations where one can potentially get more jail time if a case is charged out as a misdemeanor.

Isn't prison overcrowding a good thing? Aren't we trying to catch as many crooks as possible an put them in prison? Where did this get flipped?

Weinerschnitzel is an absolute flipping idiot. I have zero respect for the SOB. He should be required to re-register as a democRAT, because he sure as hell doesn't stand for what he claimed to when elected. He has made it clear that he hates public employees, and now is showing his love for criminals.

He's the worst of both worlds! He's a Republican who doesn't give a damn about crime and working people and he's a Democrat that doesn't care about pay, benefits and job security of public safety employees. While he isn't "fish", he's certainly foul (sp intended).

Just outsource the CDC inmates to Mexico, why not pay the Mexicans 1/10th of what it cost to house them here, they would make a profit, California would save billions of $’s and many of the inmates family would have easier trips for visitations. We wouldn’t even have to deport them afterwards they would already be home…

Sounds good to me, but do you really believe the Mexicans would accept or keep their own returned trash?

Only for money $$$

Then they would just send them back I’m sure, but it would solve the prison problem. http://emoticons4u.com/crazy/114.gif
