Where is there a good place online for me to invest in a set of ear phones? My deparmtent uses the Kenwood TK-390 model.

If you are talking about an earpiece for your handheld radio, try www.tacticalcommand.com. (http://www.tacticalcommand.com.) Probably two-thirds of our deputies use their earpieces and love them.

Try a company called DTC.

Does DTC have a web site? I can't seem to find it.

www.tacticalcommand.com (http://www.tacticalcommand.com) seems to be a dead link.

How about the ParMarLow line from TwitCo Distributing? The prices seem good, but I haven't yet bought anything from them.

Darn...I looked carefully at my radio and it doesn't seem to have either 2.5" or 3.5" jacks for these ear phones to plug into.

I even took apart the connecting screw from the radio to the mic/speaker just to see if it was in there...

Anyone else uses the same radio but has ear phones for them?

Blue,

I'm going to give you a link to Kenwood here:
http://www.kenwood.net/products/index.cfm?LMR=open&lmr_hheld=open&radio=TK-390&selection=Commercial&ID=66

Why don't you go to that page and click on the "contact us" box at the bottom?

Ive used a TK-280 before. On the right hand side of teh radiowhen facing it there is a 1/2 inch by 2 and 1/2 or maybe 3 inch piece of plastic that is held on by one screw. Undo the screw, pop the plastic off, and you will see some contacts. This is how a speaker mic connects, and Im assuming if the kenwoods can have them, it hooks onto there. Hope it works out!

I'm told that the US Secret Service use items from http://www.audioimplements.com.

I have a Motorola unit that works quite well, and was ordered directly from their web site.

Just ordered a set from www.tacticalcommand.com (http://www.tacticalcommand.com)

The person I spoke with is a fulltime officer and he has personal experience with both custom molded and semi-custom molded earpieces. Very knowledgable.

I'll let you know how it feels in my ear once it arrives.
