Any Departments hiring permanent residents?

I am a Police Officer from Australia who has just recently been approved for permanent residency. I am looking for employement as a Police Officer. If anyone knows of any Departments that may be hiring any help would be appreciated.

When I was with OCSD, I believe we had quite a few Aussies and other resident aliens. Try looking at the Orange County Sheriff's Dept's website in California.

I'm to lazy to search right now, but I'm sure there was a thread on here from a while back that listed a couple of departments that hire LPR's (Legal Permanent Resident).

Mind if I ask what Immigrant Category you received? Is it a spouse thing?

With the exception of the California Highway Patrol, you are good to go with any California police agency, provided that you are a permanent resident alien who is eligible for and has applied for United States citizenship.
