SBSO Deputy Lateral inquiry?

I am inquiring for a friend who does not have an account on this site. Wanted to obtain information on possible deputy lateral positions opening in the new fiscal year around july of this year? Any info would be appreciated.

The county just requested Obuma money so they can hire 50 deputies, so they should be opening up the process soon.

Last I heard, SBSD is barely hiring deputies. Maybe one or two per academy class and a lateral here or there. I wouldn't get my hopes up about a floodgate or anything. There is no shortage of applications.

the last rumor i heard was we have 250 people past back grounds and are just waiting for the money to get hired. These 250 include ex military, laterials and other well qualified individuals. You can try, but i am not to sure of the outcome.
