The Culver City Police Officers' Assn is hosting a benefit shoot to help out the widow and children of Sgt. Curt Massey, who was killed in a recent traffic collision. This is a "falling plate" type pistol match that's open to LE and civilians and all proceeds will go to the fallen officer's family. The event is being held on Sunday, July 19th, 2009, at the Angeles Shooting Range (in Little Tujunga Canyon-Lakeview Terrace).
A real simple and fun match, that consists of six shots fired at six metal plates from 10 yards, three times (per entry). The highest two runs (shortest times) will determine your score. You may enter three times, for $20.00 each. (Total of 54 rounds needed.)
Lots of neat prizes and raffle items (including some firearms), and each entry earns a free raffle ticket. Should be a lot of fun and it's going to a good cause. It would be neat to meet up with some other O.com members there!
Additional details and on-line registration are here: www.masseyshoot.org
