San Francisco PD is now accepting applications for active peace officers (full-time) who wish to apply as a lateral officer.

You must have two years of patrol experience and possess a basic post certificate. Out of state peace officers must have the California P.O.S.T. Basic Course Waiver.

San Francisco PD is not a place you want to go .Worked with a guy in the NYPD who was a SF cop for about 2yrs and he said stay away no backbone you need to watch your back amongst your own very few stick together .

In every department there are good and bad.

The key is making the job work for you and using them to better yourself and your career.

Just go to the NYPD Rant, not everyone love that job.

Don't get me wrong, I now the city of SF is a mess and the far left runs the show.

You're correct the NYPD was no bargain and my comment is based solely on the experience of my buddy who worked in both places and could not run fast enough to get out of there .Liberals rule on the left coast but when you're sorrounded by lib and tree hugger cops its time to go.
