What are some undetected crimes that could automatically disqualify you from becoming apart of law enforcement?

Different Departments, Different Disqualification.
All Depends on What it is, and how long ago. Noone is perfect.

Somewhere on one of these threads is a thread called "the applicants' guide to getting hired." It has a lot of good info, you should check it out.

Are you held accountable for minor undetected crimes more than 5 years ago or while you were a minor? I was told some agencies do not.

Uh, Mustang, correct me if I'm wrong but last time you started this thread you said you were 19 and all your crimes occurred when you were 16. Now, my math skills don't usually involve simple arithmetic, but I'm pretty sure that's not more than 5 years ago.
Dealing drugs still is not a "minor crime" in anyone's book.

I think the biggest "undetected" crime that gets someone DQ'd is the one you "fail to mention" and the agency finds out about. A lot of times, a past offense can be minor, but the act of lying about it, covering it up, or otherwise conveniently ignoring it is what'll get you the axe.

Mustang,
As everyone already stated different departments have different DQ's. Most departments are just looking for you to be honest about your crimes. I have had the chance to meet officers from around the country and several have been in trouble in their past. The key is in their past and they were honest about it. I have met cops who have used illicit drugs as teens and in college, liked to fight and been arrested for assault, and have had DUI arrests. I've even met officers who were ex-gang members or hang arounds in their teen years.
