I'm a new member here, I'm just finishing up my psych degree and have formally studied criminal investigative analysis (criminal profiling). I strongly believe that profiling is something that should be a joint venture between law enforcement and psychology. As a psych student I have no investigative experience. I am starting a forensic consulting business, which not offers profiling but also self-defense tips for women and safety programs for children. I believe my insight is unique as it comes from the perspective of predicting predator behaviour. I would love to hear what officers actually think of having psychologists step into investigations - even if it's not favorable :)I look forward to hearing your comments and feel free to ask me about my views on profiling!

Hi JC and welcome. We actually have a psychologist on staff here!!! (Yes, I AM serious) her name is Blonde.

JC, I'm inviting you to open a topic on what you mentioned in either the Ask a Cop, General Topics, or Various Topics. I think it could get interesting to see the responses you will get.

OBTW if you have any problems with, or questions about the forum, feel free to contact any of the staff.

Hi Jcpaddon, welcome to Officer.com. :)

I actually was a child psychotherapist, in the UK. I currently reside in California; but I haven't been in practice since becoming a mother to our beautiful baby boy, three years ago.

Great to have you on board, with us! :)
