I have an interview later this week with the VP of Safariland.

Seeing several of the questions about Safariland holsters and other duty gear here since I joined, I thought I'd throw this open to as many people as possible. Do you have any questions you would like me to ask Scott?

Either drop me a private message or reply here. I'll do my best to get an answer.

Hope this helps.

Ask him if their gone to make a holster and light holster for the Sig Sauer P220 Carry.

Right now they only make them for the Sig Sauer P220.

The P220 Carry is like 1/4 of an inch wider, which is why is won't fit in the holster for the P220.

The P220 and P220 Carry are the same width. The barrel on the carry is 0.5" shorter than the P220, and the OAL is 0.6" shorter.

Not from what the Safariland rep told me.

I went to Keeprs, Streichers and Uniforms Unlimited and found the "right" 6367 holster for the P220. None of them fit. Even after adjusting the tension screw.

I went back to Keeprs and luckily the Safariland Rep was there this time. He helped me with holsters and none of them fit. He said he would research it and get back to me.

He emailed me the next day (great customer service) and said that the P220 Carry is slightly wider to make up the weight that is lost by being shorter and that is why it would not fit the holsters made for the P220.

I was looking for a Safariland 6360 holster btw.

However, I did get the pistol to fit a Safariland holster that has a light attached and it works ok in there, it's a little tight, my buddies P220 drops right in, I have to push mine in a little. So that's the holster I use now.

They make a new 277 Quad Magazine Holder for single stack 1911 style magazines (like Sigs and Smith .45's have).

It has a top flap.

Ask them if they will make this holster without flaps?

Because if they do, I will buy one.

Find out if they can produce their "Comp II" speed loaders for seven shot S&W "L-frame" and Taurus .38/.357 magnum revolvers!

Ask them why hot dogs come in packages of ten but hot dog buns come in packages of eight

Ask them to develop ALS holsters for SIG P229R's with lights. If they can do it for the 220 and 226, surely the 229 also. It has to be in the top-10 most used LE sidearms, the market is there.

I carry the Sig 229 w/ light, and have a Safariland 6280 holster. Check Copquest and CopsPlus, they stock them in plain, basketweave, STX, and high gloss, both left and right handed.

No questions, just tell him I have yet to find a bad piece of equipment from Safariland. It is my first choice and I'll go out of my way to get it over anything else. Glad they make a good, dependable product.

if it's a job interview i'd worry more about getting hired than bothering the VP w/ questions as to why they dont make certain items.

if it's just an informational interview ask away!
