Utah valley university police academy

I am going to sign up for UVU police academy. I idealy want to be on Washington county or at st George. Do I need to purchase I gun for Uvu police academy? Also any additional advice would be great!

Yes, if you go to an academy and self sponsor you will have to buy a firearm and other equipment. Call POST and they can give you a list.

Call UVU and talk to Bobbi (fomerly gren) in criminal justice or Steve Demille. He is the coordinator last I know. It is a great academy and yes you have to buy a gun if you self sponsor. Thats not the biggest worry you should have cause, you wont even be wearing a holster or outer duty belt until the second block which should start around jan, feb and again april, may areas. Go run cause they run a lot.
