Hey from VA!

Hey everyone! My name is kenny and i'm a recent college graduate and i'm very interested in becoming a state trooper. I am currently in the hiring process for 2 State agencies and i hopeful that i will be picked up by atleast one of them. I currently live at home in VA and i'm looking forward to working with my dad who is a VA state trooper. Well, i hope to talk to everyone.

Welcome! I live in Anchorage AK and I am part of a new program. I am a sworn officer but and have been for 6 months. I will be going to the Acd next month. I used to live in VA Beach for 6 years and I lived in Wood stock VA too.

East coast of Florida. I've been down here for 10 years now, and it's been that long since I've seen Hampton.

How much longer do you have in the app process? State agencies take FOREVER! But, once you get in, it's worth it.

By the way...does your dad trade patches? I'd love a VSP.

W&M is a nice school. It has some pretty tough academic standards. I hope the disapline i learned there will help me at the academy. Good luck at your academy, i heard AK is beautiful. I would love to visit Alaska someday.

My girlfriend lives in Tampa. It's a really nice state. I was just down there last month. While i was down there i took the written/physical for the FHP in Orlando. I just received a letter that i passed and to wait for futher notice. I dont know if i can make it down there for the next step though. I'm scheduled to take the written/physical for VSP in Jan and NYSP in Feb. From what my dad tells me, i shouldnt have too much of a problem getting hired by the VSP. I'm in good shape,clean background,bachelors degree. As for the NYSP, i'm not too sure. I dont know much about the agency and really dont know how i stack up. As for the patches, i'll see what i can do. VSP are kinda funny about patches. It is illegal in VA for anyone but Troopers to have them. Pretty stupid if you ask me. But i'm sure i can get my hands on one. If you like the VSP patch, you should see the VSP Tactical team patch. Instead of Yellow over black, it's grey over black. Very sharp.
