Who am I..... Where do I come from.... Help me I'm lost !!!

For you blokes that need to know .....

I'm 37 years, married with two rugrats. Joined the Police Force of the Northern Territory of Australia in 1993.
Currently have the rank of Senior Constable, and am stationed in Alice Springs, which is located in the middle of the Australian continent. The town of Alice has a population of 27,000.

Have worked in the following areas.....
Traffic
Prosecutions
Watchhouse (prisoner custody)
Front Counter /Reception
Administration
General Duties
School Based Police (Campus Cop)
Second in Charge Bush Station
Communications / Despatch
----

Of all, General duties is the best fun and offers the greatest variety.... drug searches, attending general complaints, prisoner transfers, traffic work, foot patrol, bicycle patrol, domestic violence, deaths, suicides, robberies and all the other fun stuff before the specialist unit/section takes over.

----

I've been hanging out on Officer.Com for a good while now. I love an argument, and many of my posts are provocative and some are not my actual opinion, but things that other people say. I pose the argument as if it were my own opinion and people reply quite emotively, especially the seppos. This gives me some more good arguments to support my pigheaded and stubborn opinions.
I love a good argument/debate.... I always win!!!

But in spite of that.... I am a very emotional individual. Police are to perform their duties appearing as if they care. I'm different. Because I do care. I am passionate about policing and care deeply for my peers and the dangers we sometimes face, as well as the traumatic events that sometimes confront us. Due to that, I am a trained peer Support Officer. I joined this job so I can help people, and very often those people I help are fellow officers.

Aussie, your posts have been comical to say the least.

Question. What the heck is a seppo???

And that saying the croc guy says, "faster than a lizard drinking". What's up with that?

Seppo is ryhming slang for americans.... Yank = septic tank
from septic is derived - seppo

the actual phrase you refer to is 'Flat out like a lizard drinking" The lizards of inland Australia, and presumeably the desert areas in other countries, don't have frequent drinks of water. When they do find water, they drink rapidly like as if there were no tomorrow. The term means working very hard and oblivious to everything else around you.
