View Full Version : From Atlanta
I guess I'll quit eavesdropping now and make my intro. My name is Brian and I live just west of Atlanta Ga. I am 27 and currently an electrician. I say currently because I have been doing electrical work for 8 years and I am tired of it. I am looking for a new career and every time I think about it my mind always comes back to guess what? - Law enforcement. I have a lot of respect for most LEO's and the job they do. I say most because there are a few bad ones out there that shouldn't be. I am married and have a little girl who is 16 months old. It seems there is a fine group of people who frequent these boards and I look forward to conversing with you.
Thanks,
Brian

If your thinking about becoming a LEO, go for it! But you must realize that it may affect your family life in a not-so-positive way. For example, if your working all night long, your wife will be home alone (& she might not like that). Talk it over with her first.
Cops used to have the highest divorce rate in the country -- but the rest of the country has caught up with us!!!

Welcome top Officer.com, Brian. We're glad to have you, and hope you will become a regular.
My Dad is an electrician, so I hear ya. You certainly could have picked a less demanding occupation to pursue though, but not a more rewarding one.
Good luck in your pursuit, and be safe,
Welcome. How about a trade? I'll answer your most puzzling questions about LE if you'll answer mine about home wiring!!!!

Hey Brian, welcome. . .
I see you are twenty seven. If you want to get into LE, go for it, but don't wait too long. Retirement and all ya know!
