Hello from Australia

Just a quick hello from New South Wales Australia. I am a relocated Canadian currently at the NSW Police Academy, and will be hitting the streets just in time for Christmas. I would be interested to hear from any bicycle cops out there, especially any I may have met at the IPMBA conference in Tucson, Arizona, earlier this year. I am a police bicycle patrol instructor and hope to get back into that section some day. Bye for now, and stay safe.

Well my passport says Canadian, but I guess home is where you hang your hat. I'm not going anywhere for a while so I guess Australia is stuck with another "Canuck".

I'm from a little further south in Victoria and I did a 12 month stint on bikes a few years back.

I did my initial bike patrol training in Geelong with Ted Wilson, and Brett Harmon. The old guy has retired, Brett is now running the show. Thanks, I'm really looking forward to graduation 1 month to go. Look out.

If the Aussies are getting together I may as well jump in. I'm a Highway Patrol officer with NSW based in Sydney. I too did a stint on bikes, and, you guessed it, travelled to Vic in '97 to do their bike course (with Ted and Brett) as NSW didn't have one. Good to see we are represented by a good cross section.
