I am not in law enforcement but have always had an interest it . I would have loved to have been a police woman but women were allowed back then.
Back then makes me remember I JUST HAD A BIRTHDAY! aarrgghhhh! HELP! I turned 51 November 8 and I cried in my tequila all evening at the surprise party my HUSBAND gave me. He will definitely pay for that! I teach learning disabled and emotionally disturbed kids. I hate the term "learning disabled" because if the school systems would just reach to the WAY children learn and not to the masses, there would be no labels.
I have been married 30 years to my wonderful husband and have a handsome 24 year old son that looks JUST LIKE ME. (My H think he looks like him but he doesn't! :P
I have two very spolied litle Yorkies who are really unsual. They aren't yippy/yappy at all. The female never barks and the male has an identity crisis...He thinks he's a German Shepard. Anyone want him for a K9 dog? He could chew little toes off. He chased a Rottie out of the yard the other day til the Rottie realized "Wait a minute" and turned around and chased him back home. Yea, he's real brave.
I don't have a picture to post so just take my word for it that I am absolutely, positively gorgeous, ok? http://www.officer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
So, that's Mitzi.

PUNTING DOGS??? Look here, Ocifer, them's fighting words! lol http://www.officer.com/ubb/tongue.gif
My babies are very dangerous Yorkies cause they don't know they are Yorkies. The male thinks he's a German Shepard and the female thinks she's a Queen (she even has her own chair to sleep in!)
Actually, they took some getting used to. We have always had larger dogs and I wasn't sure how my husband would take to them. Both were abused and it took us a long time to gain the male's trust. But, it is funny seeing my 6'5 hubby watching TV with these 2 little dogs on his lap! http://www.officer.com/ubb/smile.gif
I will offer them as K9 to whoever is brave enough to train the...And a word of caution, the female KNOWS she is better then any human and is not amused when people treat her like a little dog! LOL!

Hmmm, you sure they're not really cats? http://www.officer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I'm sure http://www.officer.com/ubb/smile.gif I have 2 cats, Pepper and BUBBA! Pepper is a tiny little white deaf cat and Bubba is a 20 pound bruiser. The female Yorkie is not afraid of him but the male is. He tussles with them all the time. He always wins but the female Yorkie gives him a good fight. The REAL dominant animal around here is Pepper. WHAT A BRAT!
By the way, how come they don't have K9 cats! That's discrimination! lol

You think Bubba's a funny name? You should live in the South!

What is even more hilarious is hearing his nieces and nephews refer to him as

Naming him Bubba was a joke...that stuck!...You should see him...He is one big BUBBA with NO sense of humor and a look that says, "Go ahead and laugh...If I were a mountain lion, I'd be eating you for dinner tight now!" lol
Bubba is a southern name, that's for sure.

Howdy Mitzi (tip of the hat) I'm Mack from Texas. Nice to meet you. Happy belated birthday.I apologize for not posting in the birthday post, I missed it. I too am a dog lover, got a 95lb mixed Rott/Lab that loves all living creatures (I rescued a kitten one night and she adopted it as her own, the cat was suckling on my killer guard dog in the morning) Oh man, there goes my tough guy image. http://www.officer.com/ubb/smile.gif Remember 50 is nifty but 51 is more fun.

Okay, I forgot something. I have a cousin with Down's syndrome so I have a special feeling about kids with "disabilities". These are the most genuine, loving people I have ever encountered. When I was in high school in the 70's we had a "special education" class at school.I was the ROTC commander and everytime we passed in the hall a group of them would salute me when I was in uniform. I always returned the salute and I got them covers (Marine slang for hats) to wear. They were so excited! I will never forget them, I'm glad I did something to make them happy.I truly believe that these are the purest human beings on the planet. No bais, prejudice, attitudes or ill will towards anyone. God bless you for what you do.

You are so right, Mack. I have a neice who is brain damaged (since birth). She is such a happy girl always smiling and making jokes. She hasn't a mean bone in her body and loves everyone.
My own 24 year old son is minimally brain damaged because of a brain tumor. It's not really noticeable except for his memory. He also is a kid that is always smiling.
Both are just great people! http://www.officer.com/ubb/smile.gif
