This will not affect your chances at a law enforcement career unless it prevents you from doing the things Police do. If you can pass the physical agility test, you should be fine. I don't advise it for ethical reasons, but many people don't disclose pre-existing medical conditions to their BG investigators or the city doctor. When I got out of the military I was awarded 30% disability for neck and back injuries. I live in constant pain that will last for my entire life. I disclosed this to my BG investigator and at my medical evaluation and never had any problems.
Good luck.

Oh man I have the same thing due to an old freak injury that happened when I was 14 years old. I have it in my neck, and my lumbar area. One of my shoulders is a bit higher than the other, and I am also having problems with my hip and leg. I'm 43, and it began flaring up over ten years ago, but it is now really starting to bother me. I'm not taking any medications whatsoever, it's pretty tolerable at this point. I did the physical therapy thing and it does help. One thing that has definitely helped me with my neck is that I bought one of those memory foam pillows, and it has nearly allieviated my discomfort. :) They're a bit expensive, but worth it. My next mattress is going to be a memory foam one for the rest of my back.

CrossFit,
You also have to consider the type of job LE is: Long time sitting with sudden bursts of movement. Body armor: It creates stress on the back and neck. Injury: what happens when you get in a fight?
Those are just a couple of things.
You won't have warm up time and won't have the proper mechanics for lifting.
If you fail to disclose an injury, and it's found later, or you get re-injured and put in for Workmans Comp, be ready to get hosed. They WILL go over your medical history with a fine tooth comb. Besides that, fail to disclose and you may have comitted a fraud.
You have to decide if it's worth it.

You're too young to have that kind of problem- unless you caused it by an injury or something in your routine. Regardless of the career you get into you should make some changes. You have to work out 5 -6 days a week?
Your neck has already told you that it can't take it. Next time it could be more serious.

Cortisone. Back injury patients best friend.
Also, try PT. You probably are over doing the excercise.
