Hey guys,

Alright, quick Muscle Milk question. I have some friends who use it after every weights work out, but I want to see what you guys think.

I am currently trying to gain muscle strength. At the same time, i am still trying to cut down a little bit of fat (I am 183 or so right now, 14.5% body mass according to a few websites that I used inserting measurements I took at home. I'd like to be at 12 or so eventually).

I currently do 2 weights days a week (One focusing on Chest/Triceps, other focusing on back and Biceps),and two days on abs. I run 5-6 days a week after weights (when i do abs I work them in the middle of my run). Additionally I just do the occasional sit-up, pull-up, or push-up session randomly when i feel like it.

I am thinking of using Muscle Milk shakes after my weights workouts to gain muscle mass and increase my strength. My question is if you guys think that taking muscle milk and a PB&J instead of substantial lunch how much of an effect do you guys think I could expect to see (it is a shake with 34g of protein)?

Used it. Lots of calories, calories better spent on real food. Whey supplement is sufficient. Muscle milk is great for a meal replacement.
Also, do not forget to work your legs. Legs are big muscle groups and when worked they release extra testosterone...win all around.

Using it after your workout is not what is going to put muscle on you. That takes proper nutrition and one shake two times a week is not gonna do what you're looking for. I see you don't work your legs....awfully hard to gain muscle without working one of the biggest parts of your body. You should be consuming at a minimum, 200 grams of protein per day in order to increase your muscle mass, along with adequate carbohydrates.

Work out your legs man.
Eat big, lift big, get big.
Stop doing curls in front of the mirror. (you know you do)
Bench, squat, deadlift, squat, military press, squat, bent over row, and squat.
Anything else is just filler.

Lol.

OP, if you haven't figured it out from the previous resposnes you need to Squat bro. You can take all the muscle milk you want but without the mother of all exercises it doesn't mean squat ;)

Oh yeah, work in those shoulder presses too or some variation of the same.

Thanks guys.

I simply forgot to put my leg workout into the mix, but it is always nice to have people re-enforce that what I am doing something correct. Thanks for looking out for me on that one.

Muscle Milk tastes GREAT, but it's expensive! This one place was selling 1 bottle for $4+!!!

If you are going to consume one after a workout, I wouldn't eat anything else with it.
