NYPD Test 8050

Ok... so before everyone start yelling at me to read the past post to answer my questions let ,me say this...

THERE IS SO MANY POST I GIVE UP LOOKING!!!!

So now i ask.

Took NYPD test 8050 in Oct 08 and haven't heard anything. I called some number and got my list score. I was told they are not calling from this list yet.

Anyone have any idea when they will start?

Anyone have any idea when they will send us test takers some info?

Anyone have any idea in they will ever really start hiring cops again so the city doesnt get taken over by gangs and crime?

Anyone have else really REALLY mad about how the cities budget is handled?

Anyone have any other city job ideas? I've always wanted to be a cop but this is just getting really discouraging :(

Read the official July 2009 thread.. lots of test takers post exam numbers and point to when they have been/will be contacted or receive information in the mail for initial processing.

Any answer you get on this forum for your question to how we feel about the handling of the budget will 99.9999% of the time be a sarcastic, nasty reply. Reason being it's almost a rhetorical question, so don't take it personally.

Other city job ideas.. FDNY, DOS, PAPD, TBTA.. they're good to think about. Take the tests, just don't expect to get hired any time soon unless Mr. New York walks into a deli and hits the Mega-Billion Dollar lottery. Don't quit your job/school until you're lined up for anything, it may be a while.

Too funny, JdotB! Clutch1171, I also took 8050, nothing as of yet. I belive that around 4000 took test 8050, ADP is running a bit behind schedule since it might take them a bit longer to process so many people. Nothing we can do but wait.

With all the economy crap going on, i think the NYPD should start thinking about making tests good until the age where your no longer elligable not 4years because the wait time is going to be YEARS not like it used to be if you were clean n good to go the most people waited was a year?
