What are the exact date the academy start? and when can you take vacation your 1st year?

LOL. No one knows the exact start dates but figure the first 2 weeks of both months. Vacation? After you graduate the academy you are "eligible" for vacation. I would not plan anything in advance.
I'm assuming you are talking about NYPD but you are typing in the NY state section. You should specify which agency you are referring too since there are many agencies in New York and many academies

Vacation? Depends on the command you get assigned to.
Lets break down the NYPD.
The NYPD itself is just a name and every single precinct out there within the city is their own self sufficient police department using the NYPD name and regulations.
There is no way possible to answer anything with a straightforward answer when asking about things about the NYPD.
All the cops go through the same nypd police academy.. but get assigned to their own little police departments throughout the city.

its ok so far, its the same crap every day so you feel like a robot at times
yea, we all became slackers after the first trimester test lol, and a group of people who still cant run one whole lap in gym.
