Cadets July 09

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post here. I applied for the Cadets a while ago. I received a call from the APD I think. They told me, they are hiring cadets in July 09 so I need to come for fingerprinting which is next week. My list number is in the 200 ranges and my friend is in the 500 ranges (he also got a same call) Does that mean we got hired ? or not?

THat just means that you are starting a process to get hired,and if everything goes smoothly you should be hired. They will do your background investigation and a bunch of other things before you are hired. Don't quit your job though, you are not hired until you are in the academy doing the Cadet course thing.

I have passed all the exams. I thought they already did my background investigation. So, this means that there going to do background investigation after fingerprinting ? :eek:

printing is norm the first step have you filled out all of the packets? the process to becoming a cadet is pretty similar to the process of becoming an officer. you can expect to do all of the same things.

I did the JST, Medical, Psychological oral and written, did all the packets and handed in to my investigator in December 2008. So, I assumed I was being processed for background investigation. and after three months I received this call assuming I probably have passed the BI.

ahh then your ending in the steps. wierd that they didnt print you at your medical i think thats when i was printed. you have nothing to worry about now just make sure all your paperwork is done and sit and wait. investigations are on going and canlast up to two years.

hmmm I got fingerprinted at the medical too.

Yes I'm hired. My investigator told me if my background investigation goes well I'll be hired this July :D :D
