Anyone out there take the poly for LACOPD with female out in La Crescenta. If so, did you get any good feedback from her after the poly? She told me I reacted to a couple of questions, which made no sense to me. I’m going in as a lateral. She said I had a reaction to: “Did you ever do anything wrong under the color of authority”. I almost told her she was nuts, but I kept my composure.

I did, but it went smoothly. She said I had the cleanest background she'd seen in a couple of weeks. When did you go? (I was there last week.) From where are you lateraling?

It's probably like polygraphs at LAPD, they tell you that you reacted to questions in hopes of getting admissions. The ultimate goal of the examiner is to get admissions. This is pretty common, you should be fine.:)

I had quite an experience with the examiner. Did you have this question? "Have you ever lied to anyone you love?" The examiner also asked me if my wife would do some work for her at a discounted rate after she grilled me about my wife's field of work. I wasn't quite sure what that had to do with my polygraph examination. She also made a **** poor attempt at a joke in relation to my race and the potential of being in a gang. I also wasn't quite sure of what the examiner's purpose was in telling me personal things about her life. She let me know "her opinion" of my worthiness as a LE candidate. She was funny.

I had my poly a month or so ago way out past Glendale with a det. from LAPD. He was nice. He said that it went very well and smooth. So Im hoping all went well and I am moving right along.

JSL0506, she made a rude comment to me also. I was born in Cuba. When we were going over my questionnaire and she came up to the " Have you ever had sex with any animals", I answered "NO" . She then said, " Did you ever have sex with any animal when you were in Cuba" I think she was serious.

I would have paused for a minute (for effect) and then said "Is a duck an animal?"

or you should've asked "does french-kissing count as sex?"

Please define sex with an animal, and what if it was consensual. Does this include inflatable sheep?

Unprofessionalism is definitely the M.O.

Well, it’s been more than a month now since taking my poly. I haven’t heard from anyone at LACOPD . I haven’t done this in years. Is it taboo to call and get poly results ?

I have not done the poly yet, but, I have been in the process since Dec. 08 and my last step at HQ was early Jan. 09. I called the other week and inquired about my status and I was told the budget problem is slowing things down "plus" they are still processing folks from AUG. 08!!!! Hope that helps you a little!

I was told the same day when I did mine. Call to inquiry about it.

The machine doesn't do a damn thing you have to make accusations to get people to admit guilt.

It's sad because I know they are out there inflatable sheep (among other animals)...what is more disturbing, the fact that there are individuals engaged in such activity or the company out there designing and manufacturing such products...
