Hey guys, I just called the automated number to check on your status, and it told me that I am on investigative review. However I just spoke to my investigator for the second time Friday to hand in all my paperwork and and she she said she was handing in all my paperwork and to check back in in a 2 weeks. So am I really on review or is it because my investigator isn't finished doing everything with my file? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Hey, I'm in the same boat.
While your Bi is working on your case, the automated line will say your case is active. Providing your not on any hold, review or it'll say 4Q I believe if your ready for hire.
You are going to have to speak with your BI to find out the reason you've been placed on I.R.
Here's my story, About a month ago I spoke to my BI and everything was cool that was a Monday. That same week I called the automated number on a Wednesday and I was on Investigative review. I'm on review for two beer tickets I received. One in July 1995 and the other was in March 2001. The same week in 2001 my then girlfriend/now wife received a DWI. Mind you I did not receive the DWI and was not married to her at the time. But being that all the incidents are alcohol related and that we live together it is a red flag for NYPD. All of the incidents were disclosed in full from the beginning. But now I'm on review, my BI said that I wouldn't make the July 09 class, but that I should be good For July 2010, providing that all the class are of a decent size.
Good Luck

If you are 4qd. i dont think it tells you, it will say your still active i believe. Atleast this is my situation, I never heard of somone saying they are 4qed or ready for hire from the automated number. Correct me if im wrong please

yea it just says your active. But your not 4q until after the mini med. And at that point the academy is like right there.

what does 4q mean.. just a code for passed or does it actually have more meaning?

It means that your on "ready to hire" status.

the Q stands for qualified. There are 4 section that you have to be Q'd up, or qualified in before the academy. I would guess they would be med/mini med, jst, psych, background. But I really don't know what exaclty they are, just that there are 4 of them.
