Does anyone know the next date for the academy in Meridan? Also when will the next Norwalk group will hear anything? I hear they are looking for 2 people out of this group. Is that true? Will we hear anything before the cutoff date for the next chip of March 23rd??

We just announced a new test to be given in April. So that should give you a good indication.

The academy in Meriden generally starts a new class every 2-3 months. Most recently, a class started in mid December and another one started in mid February. The next class probably won't start until late May.
I applied to Norwalk a while back and it took them over a year to decide that they didn't want to hire me. I was hired by a different agency last summer and graduated from POST in Meriden in Feb. Be preprared for a waiting game no matter where you apply to.
Good Luck.
I am currently in the sr class at the meriden academy. We are set to graduate in Mid May.. The junior class started in Late Feb and will graduate in mid July... The next Meriden Academy should be either last week in May or First week in June. THere are 2 norwalk recruits in my class and 9 in the juinor class

Awesome feedback. I just had a polygraph like 3 weeks ago and was wondering when they will be looking to send another crew in the academy. Thanks Guys.
is that mv instructor pascarelli still there? with the exception of about 5 hrs of instruction out of the aprrox 5 mo. there, that place was probably the biggest waste of time i could imagine-unless its changed in the past few years, but i doubt it-

Mr. Pasquerillo is still teaching M.V. law at POST.

Hall is a great guy... McDerment too if he's still there.
Is 360 degree of paranoia still there?
Pasqarello or whatever his name is, should have seen his face when I got the gold hat... lol...

McDermott is still there as is Hall. Both were great instructors.
You still need your 360 sphere of whatever it was when you enter the classroom. :D

Pasquarello (sp?) is an encyclopedia of CGS for sure. I think I've seen him get stumped only once.
Pretty much every instructor I've had so far has been good. Of course I have my favorites, but I won't tell 'til I graduate! (four more weeks, baby!).
Our session coordinator has brought in more HPD people for stations and instruction, and it's been great. My platoon had 8 hours of baton training yesterday from an HPD SWAT guy -- awesome, although, man, I am sore today!
