I wanted to know if there is a way to know a collector value of a newer gun? My unit was able to get a limited production run of XD45 from SA while deployed to Iraq. They made 101 for my unit... the 101st. I never plan on shooting it and was thinking of selling it to get something I wouldnt feel bad to use. A nice 1911 or rifles. Here are some crappy pics... any thoughts...

Thats awesome Blkside. Did they actually issue the Springfield 45's to you? Excuse me for my ignorance but I was always under the impression from word of mouth that anyone issued a sidearm in the military had some sort of Beretta 9mm?
thats a nice gun though, I'd hold onto it if I were you!

These arent Issued weapons, while deployed to Iraq the first time they made us a limited run of 1911s. This time the XD was the new hot ticket so they made us 101 of these and the Socom II. No one has a clue?

Unless you really need to money, don't sell it. That would be a great family heirloom. Even if you do really need the money, I bet you would later regret selling it.
...or, if you have a trusted friend who has cash that you could sell to with the understanding that you could buy it back. I did that with my Colt when I needed money, then when things turned around I bought it back.

I dont need the money, its just sitting there. Im not materialistic. Its a gun I cant shoot and its just sitting there. Trying to gauge value should I decide to sell.
