Thanks, DR, I so hope they can do the surgery. David is getting very tired and his condition isn't good after al this testing. They said the testing was really hard on him so he has to stay in bed for 2 days.
Thanks for all your prayers!

Mitzi,

I know it's not proper to say "I told you so" so I will refrain.

NOOOOOOOOT!

Was this the Wada test?

Dave

Thanks so much, Dave, Desert Rat and Nell. Yes, this was a Wada test. He was put in the hospital at 8 this morning and just got home at a little after 5.
He's kind of out of it. He had to be put under then his brain was put to sleep on half at a time. They also did a cranial angioplasty. He had to have dye inserted through a groin tube, so that's a little uncomfortable for him.
The dr said he saw all he needed to see. He is convinced he can have surgery. But, the neurosurgeon disagrees.
Our sons neurologist is an absolutely brilliant man. Drs never talk against one another but, the way he carefully said what he had to say has us convinced the older neurosurgeon may feel a little threatened. Also, it seems as though he may have dropped the ball in not ordering all these tests when he operatedC our son.
But, the neurologist is a very personble young man and I think he can put the neurologists concerns to rest.
We were so up aboput this util we saw the neurosurgeon who took all the hopes the neurologist had given us away. We all came home so depressed. But, the neurologist told us not to worry, he would deal with things.
So, here we are, wondering and waiting still!

Thanks, WW...It surely does lift our spirits. Our son has been sick since he was 14 and the thought or any possibility of being seizure free is like a dream to us! But, we also know this is a real roller coaster ride. They could even tell us, "Sorry, it can't be done." We have all learned to to be too sure of everything cause it changes so fast.
But, when you deal with the brain, you can't be too cautious.
We are all on pins and needles though. If they say they can safely do the surgery, we are having a PARTY! lol
