David saw his neurosurgeon last week. We were appalled at how pessimistic and rude he was. He old David there was no way he would operate.
We all left, feeling upset and confused. The neurologist had given us so much hope.
The neurologist called us today. I could tell he was most unhappy witht he neurosurgeon although he did not come out and say it. He told us he is still positive he can stop these seizures. But, the bad news was that a test they did on our son shows that seizure he has his further damaging his brain. His speech, memory and expressive vocabulary are very affected and he is having trouble multitasking. He just walked out here now and asked where his Dad was and he was sitting right beside me. :(
In a couple of weeks, he goes in for another test. From there, he is admitted to the hospital and they will operate to place electrodes directly on his brain. Only then will we know if they can operate.
Someone let me OFF this rollercoaster ride!
