Hello! since the post about your sons brain surgery has so many posts I've decided to create a new 1.
So anyhow has your son had the surgery? Was it a complete success? anyhow I sure hope it did and that now he's doing MUCH better as he was doing before!
God bless you man!

Hi Jake,
David goes in on Halloween to talk to the neurosurgeon. The plans are then to put him in the hospital and operate to remove part of his skull. Then electrodes will be placed directly on his brain to see if they can pinpoint the seizure activity.
The problem is that all the other tests are showing it's coming from 2 spots....One where the tumor was and one in front of him brain. They think the one in front of his brain is "not true" or showing something there that isn't there. They believe the seizure activity is underneath where the benign tumor was removed 10 years ago. At that time, they did not have surgery to remove the seizure activity. They do now. They will either be able to remove the part cauing the seizure activity or use radiowaves to "kill" the seizure activity.
It's not easy. We all know they might just come out and say they couldn't get it. But, they seem very optimistic.
David is continuing to have seizures so we are hoping for the best. I really admire him. He has gone through so much but is still smiling!
Mitzi, I see that you live in Florida, what part? If is close to where I live then I have no problem meeting you at the hospital and keep you company while your son goes into surgery.
Will they put your son to sleep while they are doing the Surgery on him or will they keep him up to see if he gets more seizors?
I had a friend that use to get seizors in school all the time until they had to cut alittle hold inside of his head to get the seizors part outta his head and now he's all right but were no longer friends because he ignores me and whenever I try to say hello to him he still ignores me so I got tired of his crap so I my self started ignoring him.
I wish you the Luck with your son! It sucks that is on a Halloween day because he's gonna miss getting free candy and stuffs but it's more important for him to get this then getting free candy and stuffs :)

Grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends. Last time, half had to go home cause we filled up the waiting room! lol I will let all of you know how he is doing as soon as I know!
Thanks so much, Jake. You are a very sweet person,
Yikes Mitzi! That's alittle to far from where im at :( believe me I would come and visit if you lived near me!
As is Halloween day I've been thinking about you and your son and if he's doing all right so can you please send us back some updates on how your son is doing? Any new info would be appreciate!
Thank you for the compliment! I can be a sweet person but I can be the other way around sometimes <EG> but in this case im a very sensitive person in this matter :)

Good luck with your son. My son has undergone brain surgery more than once, he had a tumour and had to have an eye removed. But after 2 years of chemo and radiation he's doing great and in school.
Kids are such little troopers, sometimes I think it's harder for the parents.Just keep smiling for him, best of luck. I know what you're going through.

I wouln't wish this on anyone. After months of the neurologist givibg us SO much hope, the neurodurgeon shot us out of the sky. He feels he can not safely operate on our son. But, somehow, we will make it thru this. Life goes on.

Mitzi PLEASE tell me you read my post under "Not Good News."
I hope you haven't worried for several days-but I'm betting you have.
Read it-it is COMMON for the N/surgeon to be less optimistic than the Neurologist. It was with me and with others we spoke with.
Prayers,
