Birthday Party.. pshh...(rant)

Okay, I just got off the phone. My children have been invited to a birthday party for thier nine year old cousin, who they really don't see too often. so I was glad to have them all spend time together.

My little girl called me at work and said they need to bring Money.... err.... besides the gift.. I was like.. why? and she said they were going to a pool. So I was like... ahhh.. ok.. .how much.... she told me to call and ask.. so I did. I called my cousin.

$12.00 each??? Ahhhh WTF.... okay so $24.00 plus another $20-30 on a gift... OH EF NO!

I DONT THINK SO! WTF... yanno... dont invite me if I have to pay for the whole effin party. Sheesh!

WOW, what a ripoff!!! The private pool that I belong to charges 2 bucks for each guest per day. This is to defray the costs of the 2 lifeguards that on duty. I wouldn't think of asking a guest of mine to pay either!

I feel your pain. Things like this really make me wonder...I remember cake and ice cream with a little pin the tail on the donkey being plenty exciting when I was a kid....go figure...
