Bond Arms makes some really good Derringers. I particularly like the Texas Ranger model. Pretty pricey though at over $600. But there's some other models in the $300 range. Fun little guns with a powerful punch. Lots of caliber choices as well.

I bought a Davis Industries .32 from a retired cop a couple years ago. It's not something I was crazy about but couldn't pass it up, only $50. I've carried it off duty and even as a BUG. Nowdays it just sits in a case. Neat to have but tough to shoot accurately, for me anyways. This isn't mine, but the same model.

It pains me to think a police officer would carry a Davis as a BUG.

Maybe as a back up to a back up, in your boot. We use them in SASS side matches, but not much else. The 410 would be a good snake gun in the woods. Thanks, you actually made me look modern carrying my Ruger SA as a CCW gun :)

I carried it for a short time when I didn't have anything else for a backup. Mock it if you want but when I pull the trigger it goes bang.

They're ok but why would you want one if they are about the same size as a snubnosed revolver? Plus from my understanding most only hold 1 or 2 rounds of ammo.

I had a couple of Bond Arms derringers for a while. Never used them, never shot them, sold them in the same condition I received them. They were fun to look at but I never seriously considered carrying them as a BUG or CCW. As mentioned, my S&W snubbie is about the same size & weight and carries more rounds.

Kind of a cool holster though, I have to say.
