Well I thought you all would like to know that last week I made it offical and asked Sandie to be my wife. SHe accepted and we will be married on saturday the 1st day of June this year. You all are invited of course.

WOW, I almost missed this thread.. CONGRATULATIONS!! :D So, WE'RE going to need directions, lets get them posted!!
By the way... When we get there are we having accomodations at your house or are we camping? If the latter, do you have a grill and some coolers we can use? :D
LOL it is going to be at a state park about 15 miles south of my house so there will be plenty of camping and plenty of grilling locations. Yes I will have plenty of drinks on hand in coolers.

O.K. that's great I don't have to worry about the coolers & grills.. So, where do we go?.. Water Works, South Woods, Greenbelt, Union, Grandview, Walnut Woods, Margo Franks Woods, Pioneer, Ewing, Blank????... We don't want to get lost and miss the occassion!! :D
It is just inside the main entrance of Ahquabi State park just south of Indianola Iowa. If your familiar with this area it is very easy to find. IF not just follow US highway 65 south from Des Moines and you will see the signs leading you straight to Ahquabi State park.

LOL I have heard that skinny dipping is not allowed but if you do it after dark and do not get caught then I guess it will be allowed. I run by the notion nothing is illegal unless you get caught and if your caught you better be willing to pay the time.

COOOOL! :D i'll be out front with two brown paper bags... one with clothes...and the other with my Buttershots (travel refreshment ;) )
since I am not from Texas I doubt very much that it is going to be a texas wedding. It is going to be a small gathering with the great outdoors. The place has a nice fireplace and it being a morning weddin will make it all the better.

LOL I am not a morning person either that is why it is 10 am and not earlier LOL The preacher made that decision as someone beat us to the 1 pm time slot LOL

Believe it or not klar and I met in a chat room almost 5 years ago. We started just as aquaintences saying simple hellos and passing of virtual pepsis. Then on November 29th 1999, we both were sitting bored to death in our regular chat room, so we decided to private chat for the first time ever. We have been together ever since. A couple of months as an "internet couple" klar asked me to move to Iowa to be with him, which I did accept. So on June 1st 2000 we met face to face for the first time. I remember that day like it happened yesturday. We both knew as soon as we looked into each others eyes that we were meant to be. We had a hunch prior, but it was set in stone that day. The way he looked at me when I came off the airplane, and I remember his first words as tho he just said them to me. He smiled and said "your pictures didnt do you any justice" and we just kept each other in our sights the rest of the day. Always holding hands, or kissing, ya know the lovey dovey mushy stuff. He even took me to meet his best friend and his family and then to meet his parents - All on the first day! I was so nervous, but he kept making sure I was ok. We have had a few BIG bumps in the road, and at some point we didnt think we would make it. But our love prevailed, and we are marrying exactly two years to the day since I moved to Iowa from Pennsylvania to be with him. We wanted to remember June 1st as the day we came together in life and as husband and wife. See, it is possible to meet your soul mate on the internet. :) :) :)

Curious, did you conduct mutual NCIC checks before meeting? References? DL records? Credit check? How did you know you were talking to each other and not FBI operatives?

LOL I would have done a NCIC check if I had access to that but I figured I did not really need to do that. As I used to be in law enforcement I was not too worried about her taking hostage and using my body for her pleasures too awfully bad LOL. Wait a sec SHE is using me for my body EEEK what have I gotten into LOL

Thanks to all of you once again. Oh BTW it is less than two months away any of you who are wanting to come please RSVP me with a private message so I know how many camping spots to rent. It is going to be a all day thing if you want to stay your more than welcome. We are planning sandwhiches for lunch and grilled burgers and brats for dinner followed by smores. There is fishing, swimming, paddleboats and canoes available (the boats are rentable) and hiking trails all available for a persons enjoyment. It is a BYOB because I can not afford a whole lot and there is a extra charge to have a Kegger LOL.
I will provide directions to those who want them.

I knows its been awhile since this post was made, but I need to say something. It is one thing to joke saying "the ol ball and chain" and little comments like that, those are cute. But to come right out in a ball of laughter on someone's happiness is sad. Meeting my soul mate and making a huge decision of remarrying is not a joke to me. Laughing at klar and myself for making such a serious step in our lives is offensive. I look at this thread alot because it was really romantic of him announcing it. Then I like to read the congrats because it is a very special time in my life, then I get to THAT one. Well, thats enough said I think.
