Last October, while campaigning in Toledo, Ohio, Barack Obama called for "a new ethic of responsibility." The nation's economic troubles, he said, occurred partly because "everyone was living beyond their means," including politicians who "spent money they didn't have."

This January, the President said in his inaugural address, he regretted "our collective failure to make hard choices” and heralded “a new era of responsibility”.

And then he advocated politicians spending $820 billion they don't have.

The changes keep coming. I guess it's obvious that the new "ethic" gave way to the new "era".

Oddly enough, screaming all of this from the mountain tops for the months leading up to the election didn't work. We all knew this would happen but the ignorant minions fell in line anyway.

Hold on to your guns, religion and money. It's gonna be quite a ride. :(:(

How about the ADDITIONAL 100K PER PERSON for decorating congressional offices...hope and change:)

Imagine that, a politician who lied. We didn't get any of that from every president before him, nor will we get it after him.

FWIW, the stimulus is a terrible idea and wont stimulate junk.

How many millions are marked to go to ACORN to help register more phoney voters?

You forgot "bitteress". We have to remember that we're bitter. And we need to embrace that. ;)

As the country continues to slide the way its going, I expect we'll have a lot more people joining that club. Heck, we may soon have a "Bitter Majority" instead of the antiquated "Silent Majority". :p
