Florida EOT

I am currently a Sheriff's Deputy in Kentucky and looking to relocate to the southwest Florida area. I've talked to several departments in that area and they say they only want Officer's who are already Florida certified. They say you can attend an academy and obtain the Florida EOT, however I am not familiar with this process or any training facilites. Can somone give me a heads up about the cost, training and if one facility is better then the other.
