Glad to join your forum. Have had several friends over the years with the Chicago Police Department---some jaded from the BS, others into it as a new Marine recruit. As a private citizen I kinda see both sides.
I read all kind of BS in the Tribune blogs about how screwed up the CPD is, but they have always been there when I needed them. Even once when I got arrested on a charge that was later dropped, the arresting officers treated me with absolute respect.
