Out of State Certification

Does anyone know if Ohio will accept a certification from Georgia? I may be moving to Ohio soon and would like to know what I have to do to transfer my certification from Georgia to Ohio. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's probably best to contact the Ohio Peace Officer's Training Commission directly to see what you'd need to transfer your certification. I don't know what Georgia's training standards are, but Ohio tends to have pretty high training requirements compaired to many other states. At the very least, you'd have to complete updates in law, domestic violence, use of force, and firearms.
