i got invited to the testing on 1-7-09. is anybody else attending that? just by reading the posts here on the "O" the pd is not too popular. seems like there is alot of IA problems. honestly i'll get in where ever i fit in. is their process just like any other dept.? what kind of guys do they tend to hire?

Pay no attention to those two officers behind the curtain. ;) I'm ex-Downey, and I sure as he** turned out okay.<speaking in an arrogant tone> Kidding aside, if you can stomach working with a few, arrogant, cliquish officers, Downey PD is actually a very decent department to work for. They are however very "selective."

i'm pretty sure once you become part of the downey clique work is actually fun. alot of people dont like to be the outsider and work thier way to the inside. or maybe the boys at DPD don't give the chance to fit in. what ever it is they def have a rep of not playing well with others.

no but really i been patiently waiting to apply again and your dept is one of my picks. i'll have few questions in the future for you once i start applying.
