Does anyone know what the bilingual test consists of? I am thinking of applying but might need to brush up on my Spanish more and wanted to know how detailed the test is. Thanks.

Are we talking a real oral interview or an LAPD oral interview?

How is an LAPD interview different from a "real interview?"

Ive taken three orals for different agencies in the past and found LAPD the most in depth and candidate-tailored of the three.
Orange county sheriffs was pretty run of the mill, no questions from my packet or anything, a little studying and youd be fine.
LASD was a joke at best. All the questions (5) were pulled from the practice questions at lasd.org. Maybe I got a lazy deputy that day.
LAPD actually had my PHS in their hand and were questioning me from it. It seemed like the interview was actually planned and not read from a guideline.
Everyones experiences are different, obviously. Know the dept, know ethics, know why you wanna be a cop and be prepared to give examples of how your past knowledge and experience will be an asset to the dept.

I'm talking about LAPD's Spanish test, which I have heard first hand is not hard to pass. I'm not talking about the normal interview for hire. Hope that clears that up guys.

I heard it is not hard. But what I did heard is that Santa Ana PD is a very well known Department. Also, they only take the best people only. It will be very competitive but if you got what it takes to be part of them, you will be fine.
