What is the S.P.L.A.T. team? I have a patch from it and don't know what it is.

It's all right there on the patch. "State Police Lightning Assault Team." And as for what they are, kinda says that on the patch too. A SWAT team with fast-roping capabilities, sort of like the FBI HRT. I like the picture.

To my knowledge WVSP refer to their swat as SRT. The patch above also depicts apparent rappelling and not fast roping. I would guess this is not an agency approved patch.

i've never seen this patch, so i'm not sure if it is an official patch or just made up by a fan. WVSP has a SWAT Team called the West Virginia State Police Special Response Team.
