So our "governor" wants NY to join not only the powerball but also a european lottery or lotteries in addition to more of his video crack games to hopefully cough up 300 million more dollars per year.

NY needs to take it's medicine and cut spending not tax soft drinks and whatever else those fools in Albany can dream up. And No the lottery should not be allowed to add one single game. Let Patterson cut his salery his staff his perks.... then and only then can he talk about adding more taxes to NY'ers which is all the lottery is a form of taxation.

theres no clear solution, at least soft drinks, tobacco and gambling are all optional forms of taxation. i'm a little more unhappy about property tax, and bridge tolls going up which I cant avoid unless I want to swim accross the hudson river to get to work

And I dont oppose the lottery I do oppose adding more video crack machines all over the place and joining Powerball The middle class are not the ones who buy these tickets it's people who clearly should be spending money on say their rent who will be hurt by more gambling. MOre Taxes are not the solution NY needs to take it's medicine and cut the Goverment by massive amounts.

Patterson wants to raise taxes and get rid of the STAR program. I don't know about you, but I save about $ 800 a year as my STAR exemption alone. I really don't feel like taking on a new $ 800/year burden plus higher taxes.

My school district is out of their minds too. They want to build 2 turf fields. Not sure what they are thinking.

How about going after all those scofflaws so they pay their tickets off, go after the illegal tax shelters, tax dodgers, deadbeat dads etc.

I don't see the problems with Casinos. Whatever brings in more income without real Negative side affects.

We do need to tone the Welfare down a bit. I suggest we drug test everyone and their family members before they are allowed to go on it. You'll see Welfare spending cut in half while the good people that need it get it!

No doubt NY needs to change its welfare to match other states ie major cuts.. and yes NY is far to liberal hehehe but really both political parties have done NY wrong it is politicians that I really dislike in reality a politician is just a professional liar lie enough to get elected then lie more about why you can't do anything you promised...
