Is peace officer training accepted in any state?

No . Some states ,you have to go thru their academy and state certification, some states will accept the training as equal or even exceeding their training, so have a certification process that amounts to an "equivalency exam". Laws and interpretations are different from state to state.some require as little as 12wk academy,and some like here in California , require 24-28 weks min.academy and min. of 24 wks in an FTO( field training officer) program before you can even start your probation as a "solo" officer. I also understand that in NYS, there is a difference between between a "peace officer" and "police officer" in terms of training and duty requirements....

after a year or 2 on the job you may be able to transfer it depends on the state and how they look at NYS Peace Officer training
