Newbie gets a G ride

Hey, I'm keeping this part of the board alive. Guess I'm the only newly sworn full timer here :) . Anyway I have an assigned patrol car now that I share with one other new officer. Of course being the new guys we get one of the old cars but that's ok. It is a '99 Crown Vic PI, former Sgt's car. This unit has more bells and whistles than even the new ones. Lo Jack installed (so I have a really cool antenna farm on top), full light bar of course, grill lights, rear deck lights, arrow stick, wig wags,strobes in turn signals and strobes mounted at visor level inside. This baby really gets attention when lit up! Got a console like a 737 with all the switches and buttons.Front and rear radar in all our cars. The only thing it does not have is a video camera. May get retro fitted for one. It sat parked for awhile so I had to clean it up. It looks good now. It is my first patrol car since the military so I'm excited about it :cool:

I guess sharing a car with one other officer is not too bad. But I still prefer one man=one car.

I'd rather have an "old beater" that nobody drives but me, than to share a brand new car with another shift. Too many times of getting into a car and having my hands stick to the wheel because officer Kentucky Fried Chicken had been driving the car on the last shift. :(
