Public Safety Officers

Does anyone know if public safety peace officers (ex.college,hospital,etc) have the authority of carrying off-duty or soley on-duty?

There are a few factors

1. Does the CPL give them the authority to carry a firearm w/o a permit. If so then they MAY carry off duty. If not then they would still need a permit to carry.
2. Does the employer allow them to carry off duty

For any and all agencies, no matter what it says in the CPL, whether its police officer or peace officer it comes down to what the agency authorizes.
